World on Wheelz arranges trips to Southeast Asia for both able-bodied and disabled travelers. Whether you are interested in visiting places like the Malaysian jungles or the Anghor and Pagan temples, we will make arrangements to suit your special needs. We can arrange barrier free hotels throughout Southeast Asia, and our accessible vans are equipped with lifts or foldable ramps to make your travel easier and more comfortable. We also provide helpers to push your wheelchair and to help you over any barriers you come across during your various tours.

While we do our very best to provide only the most accessible services, please note that accessibility in these countries can vary a lot from one country to another. Countries like Thailand, Singapore, China, and parts of Malaysia have a lot of services which are very comparable to those offered in Western countries, such as accessible hotel rooms with roll-in showers and accessible vehicles with ramps or hydraulic lifts.

However, other countries do not provide the same level of access. In Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos we use portable, foldable ramps that we adjust for different types of wheelchairs. These ramps can support up to approximately 200 kg, and at times they are used to assist a wheelchair user over an architectural barrier during sightseeing tours. Inside our vehicles (typically Ford Transit, Mercedes or Toyota vans), the last 2 rows are taken out to make room for up to 2 wheelchairs. These vans can accommodate up to 4 or 5 seated people plus 1 or 2 wheelchairs and some luggage. Some of the seats will be used by the helpers (one helper for each wheelchair passenger).

In other Countries, like Myanmar and Indonesia, the only possible transport will be by car with driver. For these countries, we recommend that disabled travelers travel with manual wheelchairs that can fold up as you will need to transfer out of your wheelchair into a car seat.
