Sample Independent Itinerary
Day One - Arrive in San Francisco
Arrive in San Francisco. Accessible transfer to hotel for check-in.
Day Two - City/Alcatraz Tour
Start off by taking a tour of San Francisco aboard an accessible motorcoach.
Enjoy a panoramic view of the city from Twin Peaks, and tour through Nob Hill,
Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Union Square. Next,
board an accessible boat to Alcatraz Island where you'll take a self-guided
tour of Alcatraz, the world-famous prison that was once home to Al Capone
and Robert "The Bird Man" Stroud. You'll visit the cell block and
stroll through solitary confinement and the prison cafeteria. Accessible transfer
back to the hotel. Balance of the evening free.
Day Three - Bay Cruise/Fisherman's
Wharf
After breakfast, head over to Fisherman's Wharf where you'll board an accessible
boat for a 1-hour Bay Cruise. You'll cruise along the San Francisco waterfront,
under the world-famous Golden Gate Bridge, past Sausalito in Marin County,
by Angel Island and around Alcatraz. After the cruise, spend some time shopping
and sightseeing at Fisherman's Wharf. Balance of the day free.
Day Four - Yosemite National Park
Get up early and board a wheelchair accessible motorcoach for a breathtaking
12-hour sightseeing trip to Yosemite National Park. View the majestic cliffs
and waterfalls in Yosemite Valley, and tour the fertile fields in Yosemite's
Central Valley. There will also be time to shop and dine in Yosemite Village.
Return to the hotel in early evening. Balance of the evening free.
Day Five - Muir Woods and Sausalito
After breakfast, board an accessible motorcoach and head across the Golden
Gate Bridge for a 3.5-hour tour of the Muir Woods and Sausalito. First visit
the Muir Woods where you can take a stroll through the forest and view the
towering redwoods. Then head to Sausalito, known for its shops, waterfront
restaurants, and great views of San Francisco across the Bay. Balance of the
day free.
Day Six - Wine Country Tour
After breakfast, board an accessible motorcoach for a 9-hour tour of wine
country. Visit wineries in Sonoma and Napa Valley and learn about the art
of wine production. You'll also enjoy wine tastings! Return to hotel. Balance
of the evening free.
Day Seven - Depart
